Reconsider the National Insurance banding for public sector employees.
In april 2016 the goverment implemented a rise in the national insurance banding affecting public sector workers including the armed forces, dentists and nurses where the banding has gone from a band D to a band A increasing 1.4% increase NI contributions equating to more than the 1 % payrise given
The decision for the increase was made in the 2013 budget. Since then the general rate of inflation has already increased
The impact of this rise was felt in receipt of pay recieved for april where we recieved less than march because of this increase.
