Imprison politicians for expense fraud.
If a civil servant, crown servant, member of the armed forces or any other government worker commits expense fraud, they potentially face prison, loss of pensions and dismissal. Politicians who make bogus or excessive expense claims never face prison, normally merely making a public apology.
Even if they are encouraged to resign, will still receive a considerable pension paid by the very taxpayers they have in effect stolen from.
Politicians should face the same consequences as anyone else who steals from the taxpayer.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
MPs are already subject to the same criminal law as other citizens. Some former MPs have served time in prison for breaches of the law relating to their expenses claims. It is not therefore clear what you would like to change.
