Petition Action

UK Bank Holiday on 10th or 13th June to celebrate HM The Queen's 90th birthday.

Petition Details

HM The Queen's official birthday will fall on Saturday 11th June in 2016, marking her 90th birthday. This is a wonderful moment for our nation and will be marked with public holidays around the Commonwealth and with the closure of British High Commissions and Embassies. The UK should join in!

Additional Information

Around the world, Commonwealth nations and oversees UK territories will celebrate with public holidays on either Fri 10th June or Mon 13th June. This petition calls for the same opportunity for the United Kingdom. In a leap year, when we gained an extra day in February, this is surely not too much to ask!
