Change the tax system so student loan repayments are taken before income tax.

Petition Details

Most students can not use their income tax allowance whilst studying at university and rely on borrowing money from the students loan company to cover living expenses. Therefore, repayments of this student debt should be exempt from income tax.

Additional Information

These changes would bring the following benefits:

1. Earlier repayment and reduced pressure of student debt
2. A fairer systems for those starting out in life
3. Additional encouragement for further education
