Require NHS Trusts to publish amounts paid for early severance etc.
At a time when it is so important that expenditure in the NHS is not only well controlled and appropriately targeted, NHS Trusts should be required to publicly account for such payments.
Evidence recently published by the Eastern Daily Press shows that £6m was spent in two years by East of England Ambulance Service. Another Ambulance Service appears to have expended significant amounts but does not quantify that and other NHS trusts have failed to reveal this information. At a time when it is so important that expenditure in the NHS is not only well controlled and appropriately targeted, NHS Trusts should be required to publicly account for such payments.
