Petition Details

Due to governmental cuts the BBC will have to remove the recipes section of it's website. These recipes are an invaluable source of free food knowledge and advice, and help everyone from kids to OAP's, those living on a tight budget and those wanting to experiment. We cannot lose it.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

This decision is the responsibility of the BBC. The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.

You could start a petition calling on the Government not to make cuts to the BBC's funding.
