Change the current laws so Bobby Moore can be awarded a posthumous knighthood.
Bobby Moore, the Captain of England's World Cup Winning team of '66, is considered to be one of the greatest footballers England has ever produced. He is held in great affection by those who knew him. However during his life time he was never honoured and we believe this needs to be remedied.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The honours system isn't based on laws, so it's not clear what you would like to be changed. We could accept a petition that called for the honours system to be changed, to allow posthumous knighthoods to be awarded.
However, we can't accept petitions that ask for a specific individual to be given an honour. We could, however, accept a petition which referred to a specific case as part of an argument in favour of changing the system.
