Members of BBC Trust should be elected by the public not appointed by government

Petition Details

The BBC Trust is the governing body of the BBC & are supposed to ensure that the BBC lives up to standards of accuracy and fairness. The Trust is responsible for approving BBC Editorial Guidelines. Currently, the Trust is appointed by the government. This should be replaced with public elections.
