Why does ITV allow non-official EU leave campaign to appear on debate with PM

Petition Details

The ITV is holding a TV debate on the 7th June with Britain Stronger In Europe being supported by David Cameron but with no representatives from the official Vote Leave campaign. In view of impartiality, only official parties or only unofficial parties should be allowed to debate at the same time.

Additional Information

Vote Leave is the official campaign for those wanting the UK to leave the EU - a status it was given by the Electoral Commission after it saw off a challenge from the Nigel Farage-backed Grassroots Out.
