UK public to be able to elect the Governor of the Bank of England.
The UK public elect its most influential people, Prime Minister, Chancellor, Home Secretary, Lord Mayor etc as a democracy. The UK public should also be able to elect the Governor of the Bank of England.
The Governor of the Bank of England directly has control over the UK debt, availability of homes, interest rates. The governor also needs to have measurable objectives that his performance can be directly assessed.
