Petition Details

Today (12th May 2016) The UK Government has said the BBC must change. the preposed ideas not all are in the intrests of the public and can effect people all across the UK. The Government has no right to interfere with the running of the BBC

Additional Information

The Government has revealed plans for the BBC,
- Licence fee (To Increases from £150 PY to the rate of inflation - Around £200+)
- TV content (Good of the people but in what way)
- Staff salaries (Good Licence Fee to be better used)
- Governance (Ofcom good idea)

If the UK Government is allowed to interfere with the running of the BBC directly it under mines the values of the BBC as inderdendent to the Government with no tie to it or to be used as a mouth peace of the Government
