Restrict all dog breeding establishments to a maximum of 5 litters per year

Petition Details

The Panorama programme on BBC1 highlighted the horror of puppy farming. These people own hundreds of dogs and make vast sums of money from breeding puppies, many of whom are sick or have inherited conditions. Restricting all breeding establishments to 5 litters a year will eradicate puppy farms.

Additional Information

There is a wealth of evidence on puppy farming and that local authorities are routinely granting licences to establishments that are churning out puppies that are sick, have inherited conditions and behaviours issues due to the limited human contact and the conditions they are raised in.
