Keep the BBC's recipe site!
The BBC has planned cuts in order to make savings ordered by the Government. BBC Foods vast library of over 11,000 recipes is going to be cut. The recipes are a great resource for people across the country providing easy, free and importantly independent information on a range of foods and recipes.
The Government is trying to promote healthy eating, surely to remove this resource that has taken years, time and money to create is wrong.
We plead with the BBC to keep the recipes and find cost savings elsewhere. This was taken from the petition already started on change.org: https://www.change.org/p/bbc-save-the-bbc-s-recipe-archive

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This decision is the responsibility of the BBC. The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.
You could start a petition calling on the Government not to make cuts to the BBC's funding.
