Carers Charter "Mandy's Law"
Those in receipt of a State Pension looking after a loved one must be able to claim Carers Allowance. It is their fundemental right not to be discriminated against ,just because they are taking their State Pension Mandy Bayliffe tried to change things in her short lifetime ,so it is up to us now.
Treat Carers Allowance like DLA ,not classed as income ,therefore does not affect any other benefit they may receive.I am 67 years of age ,in receipt of a State Pension, which I paid for through over 40 years of paid work, yet cannot claim Carers Allowance because currently the Government does not allow it.
So this means Senior Men and Women who are entitled to a State Pension cannot claim it even though they are more often than not by their loved ones side 24/7 with no recompense for it either.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
