All personal data from UK citizens should be automatically autonomous.
This petition is to seek transparency and change in the current law - All personal data from UK citizens should be automatically autonomous and not mass marketed.
Failing to tick a box to opt out of the open electoral roll means the personal information of your household is readily available to all who want it. It doesn’t just stop with the UK Government either; your mobile phone contract, broadband provider and even your energy provider then pass data to third parties. That’s right – ALL OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS READILY AVAILABLE FOR A FEE OF AROUND £3 to cyber criminals, terrorists, stalkers and identity thieves… Well, unless you opt out of course!
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We cannot accept your petition in its current form as it does not include a clear action for either the UK Government or Parliament. Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
