Illegal occupation of land with a caravan to change from a civil to a criminal offence

Additional Information

Illegal occupation of land with a caravan by Travellers is presently a civil offence and requires a court order for an eviction notice. Changing the offence from a civil to a criminal one would allow the Police to evict immediately if the Landowner requested it. This change would mirror similar legislation adopted in Eire.
