Allow U.K. expatriates to vote in the E.U. referendum
Current law prevents expatriates who have been 'ordinarily non resident' - as defined by HMRC - from voting in any U.K. election.
This inspite of the fact that a vast majority are expatriates due to employment, family or health reasons. They are also required to submit U.K. tax returns.
Incarcerated criminals are currently denied the vote in the U.K. Are expats classed as criminals?
