Make it mandatory that offenders convicted of domestic violence attend a course.
According to the Office of National Statistics, over 42% of the
UK population (28% women and 15% men) have experienced some form of domestic abuse in their lives between the age of 16 - 65.
There has been an increase from 1.7 million people in 2012 to
1.9 million convicted in 2014/2015.
There is 'NO EXCUSE for ABUSE' in any relationship. It has become pressingly urgent to stop the increase of domestic abuse. We are all entitled to the equal protection of the Law. The matter should be raised in Parliament (especially taking into consideration the House of Commons report February 2016) defining the issues. We want to reduce domestic abuse by 60%, in the next 10 years, by making it compulsory for offenders to attend a mandatory course, "Raising Awareness Workshops" .
