Put an end to the Postal Vote and proxy voting and require in person voting only
The Postal Vote is deeply vulnerable to anti-democratic action. There is a lot of evidence indicating that it is now being used by organised members of communities foreign and domestic to impact local and national elections and referendums, and also for those ineligible to vote to do so anyway.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/8655697.stm Is an article on the BBC proving categorically that a large section of Mirpur, in the region of Kashmir, Pakistan - have citizens there with dual nationality sign several empty forms in order to filter them back to the United Kingdom, to send in postal votes to have people vote by proxy.
There were serious questions to be asked in Thanet, there are now serious questions to be asked about the EU referendum due to poor oversight.
