All Formula 1 races should be shown free-to-air.
All Formula 1 races should be shown free-to-air.
As of 2012, with the new deal announced today (29th July 2011), only half of the races will be available on the BBC, the renaming only being available through subscription channels on Sky. This will deny access to yet another major sport for many people in the UK.
The government should make all formula 1 races "protected events" so that it is a requirement that they are broadcast free-to-air.
