Extend voter registration deadline for the EU referendum due to website crash

Petition Details

The upcoming EU referendum will determine the UK's future. Last night the voter registration website on gov.uk crashed just hours before the deadline, leaving thousands of UK citizens unable to get their name on the register. Data shows that there was a lot of interest on the last day. Let's be fair

Additional Information

Hundreds of thousands of people have signed up on the voter registration website in the last few days before the deadline after a drive to get them to sign up.
Government statistics suggest most of the people signing up are relatively young.
Let's enable our younger citizens who have clearly shown an interest to get their name on the register and have a voice on 23/06.
