Teach Current Affairs in schools and promote learning about the world
It is vital that the people we depend on to be our future have unbiased access to what is going on in this world. Citizenship focuses on 'British values'... We can teach kids to grow up thinking for themselves
The Citizenship foundation's website explains that citizenship is taught in schools as an 'ideal tool for exploring British values.'
However we should be exploring world values, world affairs that are happening right now.
History is very important but how can we depend on the 'generation of the future' to build a better world if they are not learning about the world now.
We need to promote decision making based on free and open thinking
