Petition Action

Introduce ‘Digital Judgement’ as a CORE topic in the National Curriculum.

Petition Details

Some outcomes of the internet boom are calls to fight, extremism terrorism and hatred and hoaxes, via new social media propaganda. These threaten our society and children. It MUST be a priority now to arm our children with 'Digital Judgement'; the skill to cope with the threat of the digital world.

Additional Information

Society is easily seduced by online propaganda, drawn towards anti-social intolerant attitudes and behaviours towards the extremes making governance virtually impossible and increasing risks and costs to individuals and communities. Being able to recognise and resist internet threats is a crucial skill, but getting increasingly harder. We MUST start NOW educating our children to become ‘critical' users of the social media they will grow up with, and which will shape our society for evermore.
