Petition Action

Allow tattoos, bright hair and body modifications in the workplace. Equality.

Petition Details

I believe that having body modifications does not affect your working at all. I think if someone can do the job we should be aloud to work there, instead of being turned away. Just because I have bright hair, tattoos and piercings does not mean I am not qualified or professional.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There is no law prohibiting tattoos, bright hair or body modifications in the workplace. It is a matter of employer policy. If you want the Government or Parliament to prohibit workplace dress codes altogether, you could start a new petition about that. As currently drafted, it is not clear what action you want the Government or Parliament to take.
