Take Political discrimination out of local council committee member selections
Elected Councillors in local councils should be given first refusal who have relevant qualifications, skills and experience on committees the Councillor has a background in to optimise any local skill base to the benefit of the council and the local community.
Example : Majority political parties tend to side line professional opposition councillors who have expertise in favour of their own unskilled councillors onto committees who cannot possibly add value to resulting in bad decisions and costing the public money, which is not beneficial to the local community - If this is made law it will optimise skills all elected councillors bring to local councils without political discrimination
