Make punishments for those who abuse animals a lot harsher
Having recently watched a lot of well publicised programmes on television concerning animal rescues it's been highlighted how lenient 'punishments' are on those who abuse and torture animals. If this is something you feel strongly about please sign this petition AND forward it on to others to sign
" Under the 2006 Act, the maximum penalty for causing unnecessary suffering is a fine of £20,000 or six months imprisonment, or both " - https://petition.parliament.uk/archived/petitions/61926
This simply is not harsh enough!
Those found guilty of animal cruelty especially at the extreme should without doubt face long prison sentences!
