Make June 23 Independence Day and a national bank holiday
Following the historic referendum result for Britain to vote to leave the EU, we believe that June 23 should be marked in our national calendar as a bank holiday.
The result marked a sea change in British politics and should be marked as such.
Thursday June 23 2016 was the day Britain voted to leave the EU.
America marks July 4 as Independence Day.
Our country should mark June 23 as Independence Day.
It is time to make June 23 a national bank holiday.
