Petition Action

Reprimand Boris Johnson, MP, for deliberately misinforming the British public

Petition Details

Boris Johnson boldly claimed that the United Kingdom sent "£350 million a week" to the EU. He went so far as to emblazon the side of a bus, with which he toured the country as part of his Vote Leave campaign. This figure was considered false and grossly misleading, while a crux of the campaign.

Additional Information

This figure was debunked and widely considered a misrepresentation of the nation's contribution. The figure does not account for the rebate, money we never sent. We cannot choose how we allocate £350m per week, since that is not the amount we can save.
