Petition Action

Hold a vote in parliament on whether to call a general election

Petition Details

The significance of the vote for the U.K. to leave the European Union is such that a new government with a specific mandate to lead the country at this particularly important time should be chosen. Two-thirds of MPs in the House of Commons should call for a UK general election as soon as possible.

Additional Information

If two thirds of MPs vote for a general election, one can be called.
