After the result of the EU referendum, Parliament should vote on the decision.
The UK is a parliamentary democracy, and therefore MPs in Parliament should have a final vote on the referendum on membership of the EU. There are wide-ranging implications of the decision, including various economic impacts, but ultimately the unity of the United Kingdom itself is also in question.
