PM David Cameron to continue his role as prime minister
David Cameron was elected by the public to lead the United Kingdom for the second time. He should continue this as he chose to give the country a referendum he knew the possible outcomes. We should not now depend on someone who wasn't voted in to take the country into the most uncertain future.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The resignation of an individual Minister, including the Prime Minister, is not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole. It is a decision for the individual concerned. The UK Government or Parliament cannot stop a Minister resigning.
