David Cameron to remain Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

Petition Details

We the undersigned ask David Cameron to remain as Prime Minister of the UK until the next general election in 2020. We believe that David Cameron would best represent the UK's interests in any negotiations with the EU given the strong relationships he has established with EU countries.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The resignation of an individual Minister, including the Prime Minister, is not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole. It is a decision for the individual concerned. The UK Government or Parliament cannot stop a Minister resigning.
