Petition Action

Say No to an "Independence Day" Bank Holiday on 23rd June.

Petition Details

Nigel Farage has called for the 23rd of June to be celebrated as the UK's "Independence Day", and that the date should be a Bank Holiday.

We the undersigned feel that Mr. Farage should not be rewarded in this fashion for his actions in the EU Referendum.

Additional Information

A Bank Holiday bearing Mr. Farage's name would be giving too much publicity to a man who has misled the electorate on multiple occasions, and who behaved despicably with regard to the "Breaking Point" poster.

This Bank Holiday would also be offensive to the 16.1m voters who voted to remain a part of the European Union, and who would not want be reminded of this fact every year.
