Energy Transparency (only rate each for gas and electricity)
The Energy providers confuse consumers over which tariff would "suit them".
The Government privatised the energy sector to promote competition, the only way this will work is to have the companies stating only one price for per kW, one for gas, one for electricity.
Currently, they all have different pricing structures.
Some have different tiers (encouraging greater energy consumption), others unclear usage pricing where some vary the unit cost depending on the month of the year and then others which include a standing charge.
There should be one rate, not varying per month/season and no standing charge (thus benefiting those in fuel poverty and low users).
