1 Metre Rule to be Adopted for Cars Passing Cyclists

Additional Information

Please introduce a rule similar to the US (three feet rule) to keep cyclists safe on the UK’s roads.

If we really want to get people out of their cars and doing some exercise at the same time, especially for short local journeys, then we must have legislation to protect them.

3 Points issued to anyone passing too fast or too close i.e. less than 1 meter. Driving bans and custodial sentences for anyone causing injury. Anyone causing a death equals a manslaughter charge “sorry I didn’t see you mate” is no longer good enough!
