To get rid of TV licence.
It was founded to pay for an unbiased BBC service which is no longer unbiased, it is now used as a political mouth piece.
In an age where most homes have subscription based television services why is this not overridden or included in the service as BBC is included in most of these services.
If the BBC had 30 seconds of advertising within an hour of programming they would generate more funding than is amassed through the TV licence taxes, and this would create accountability within the BBC hierarchy.
