Votes weighted on electorate's age giving the "current generation" a greater say
In referendums & elections, votes should be weighted so that an age group (such as: 25-45) have a greater say than the very youngest & very oldest (a sliding scale). Everyone during their lifetime would get equal voting power; however they would have the most voting impact between a certain age.

It's not clear how this could be done. Voting in the UK is anonymous. It is not therefore possible to work out which votes would be accorded greater weight.
