That the result of the referendum on the European Union be declared void

Petition Details

On 23rd June 2016 the United Kingdom voted in a referendum on the future of the United Kingdom. In the campaigns in the lead up to the voting there was considerable misinformation and outright lying by both sides. As such, the electorate was not in a position to make a clear and unbiased decision.

Additional Information

In particular, though in no way limited to, there was a claim by Vote Leave Ltd that leaving the EU would release £350million a day to be used to fund the NHS - a claim which has been proven by multiple sources to be wrong and which Nigel Farage has accepted was a "mistake". As such, the public were significantly and repeatedly misled and the referendum cannot be considered to be free or fair.
