Allow 14-17 year olds to have their votes on the EU added to the voting total
The EU referendum is a vote for over 18 year olds to decide whether to stay or leave
This vote affects the futures of young people, and not the elderly, who are responsible for 60% of leave votes in the 65+ category. This raises the question of: Why shouldn't youths get to decide on their future?
-73% of 18-24 year olds voted to remain in the EU
-62% of 25-34 year olds voted to remain in the EU
-52% of 35-44 year olds voted to remain in the EU
These facts illustrate what the people who are affected most by the vote wanted. Sadly, they are having their futures decided by the older generations, to whom the vote will not affect.
By signing this petition, you are allowing the younger generation to decide on their own future.
