Petition Action

Keep David Cameron as Prime Minister after EU Referendum

Petition Details

David Cameron gave every MP a choice to back either side. Just because he backed the Remain side, I don't think that he should be made to feel like he should resign. I would like to see him remain and help take the UK in to unchartered waters.

Additional Information

Unless every other "Team Remain" MP is going to resign as well I think David Cameron deserves a chance to take us on our new journey.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The resignation of an individual Minister, including the Prime Minister, is not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole. It is a decision for the individual concerned. The UK Government or Parliament cannot stop a Minister resigning.
