Ensure that Parliamentary approval is obtained before Article 50 can be invoked
We the undersigned call upon Parliament assert its sovereignty and to pass a motion requiring that the Prime Minister does not to invoke Article 50 of the Treaty of Lisbon without Parliament first passing a motion giving specific approval that Article 50 can be invoked.
We believe that is necessary for Parliament to take such action, since less than 37.5% of those registered to vote in referendum for the United Kingdom to remain as a member of the European Union actually voted for it to leave.
