Lower the voting age for referendums to 17.
Referendums are used for deciding on constitutional changes in the UK. Such changes can be hugely influential and important for the younger generations yet they are under represented. By lowering the voting age to 17, younger people can vote to ensure they protect their futures.
In the EU referendum, 75% of the youth vote was for remaining yet the overall result was to leave.
Such a result will massively effect the younger population (potentially the most out of any other age groups!) yet clearly their future has been decided, not by them, but by others.
This isn't fair and clearly shows under representation for the younger generation.
