New Homes Bonus
The New Homes Bonus encourages councils to prioritise building large homes over meeting local need. Furthermore, the bonus encourages building new homes over bringing empty homes back into use. We, the undersigned, call on the Government to introduce a New Homes Bonus which is not based on council tax bands, and which also applies to net reductions in numbers of long term empty properties.
