MP's should not be allowed second jobs.
Often MP's derive income from sources other than being an MP, I believe that being a member of Parliament is a very important and difficult job that deserves their full attention.
Therefore I propose that all MP's may have a small salary increase but they cannot derive income from any other source and they must dedicate all of their time to serving their community. This means if they are to write in the press in order to communicate with the populace they must not be paid for it and should not be salaried for producing a column. They must not retain roles as barristers or sit on the boards of companies, they should focus on serving the people.
