The Leave majority is too narrow to warrant exiting the EU without an MP vote.
The recent UK referendum was an advisory referendum and given the closeness of the result, should be debated by MP's, then voted on in Parliment, prior to a final decision being taken to leave the EU.
The UK referendum asking “Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union?” received 48.10% of the vote to Remain. Only 3.8% more voted to Leave. A decision to leave the EU has a colssal impact on the future of the UK, Europe, the EU and the globe, with arguably huge costs to the environment, the economy and humanity as a collective. The elected house must agree by vote that leaving the EU is indeed in the best interest of the electorate, prior to negotiating to leave.
