The Government should immediately invoke Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty.
The result of the referendum held on 23 June 2016 under the European Referendum Act 2015 must be respected and the Government shall notify the European Council, at the earliest opportunity, of the United Kingdom's intention to withdraw from the European Union.
