Lower the voting age by two years to allow 16 and 17 year olds to vote.

Petition Details

It is unfair that young people, who will be affected the most, and for the longest, by political decisions do not have the right to influence their future.

Additional Information

In the recent EU referendum 18-24 year olds were the most likely to vote remain. Over 65s were the least.

This is especially important given the very narrow very margin of victory in the EU referendum.

At the age of 16 you are allowed to die for your country. You should also be allowed to choose the government which sends you to fight.
