2nd EU Referendum with change in law to lower the voting age to 16

Petition Details

As shown in the Scottish referendum 16 year olds and above were able to vote. They should be able to take part in the EU referendum. As the referendum was very close I believe there should be another referendum with people as young as 16 should be able to vote as this will affect their future.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The EU referendum has already taken place. It is therefore no longer possible for the franchise (the groups of people who are entitled to vote) to be changed.
