To reaffirm the result of the referendum on Britain's membership of the EU.
The British public decided on the 23rd June 2016 to leave the European Union. Those who voted to remain are disappointed, but the principle of democracy must be upheld and the initial decision respected despite a petition calling for a second referendum.
A second referendum will only compound current uncertainties towards the path Britain will take towards exit from the EU.
