False or unsupported statements during a campaign should be a criminal offence
With EU referendum over we have all seen the catastrophic effects of false or unsupported statements. Politicians need to be aware of the effects that such statements made during a campaign can cause. For this reason they should be prosecuted if these statements are not supported or false.
